Practical Accessibility Tools for All in SL

We introduce the importance of accessibility, define the types of accessibility issues in virtual environments, then offer solutions that aid students and life-long learners. We conclude with a demonstration of and opportunity to practice with a free, easy voice-to-text tool.
Objectives:
- Participants will be able to understand the importance of accessibility for everyone active in SL.
- Participants will be able to try out some accessibility tools as part of the presentation.
Insights Connection:
Accessibility relies on awareness as well as on tools. It is important for educators to consider accessibility in their work and explore new ways to achieve it for all participants in virtual events.
