Lead Presenter: Pionia Destiny / Doris Molero
Venue: Workshop A – Rock Theatre
This hands-on workshop builds on the earlier presentation by guiding participants through the process of designing and delivering a storytelling-based language activity using AI tools and Second Life scenes. Participants will experiment with creating characters, generating narratives with ChatGPT, and embedding learner tasks in virtual backdrops.
The session provides templates, prompt banks, and implementation strategies for classroom or virtual use. Attendees will leave with a full activity plan ready to adapt for their own learners.
Objectives:
- Participants will be able to create a sample storytelling task using Second Life and generative AI.
- Participants will be able to adapt storytelling techniques to suit varied levels and contexts.
Insights Connection:
This workshop supports the “Insights” theme by providing educators with bold, hands-on experience in immersive AI-supported design. It translates creative concepts into practical classroom applications, demonstrating how AI and virtual spaces can co-create meaning and spark genuine engagement. It’s a space to explore, test, and refine new ideas.
Accessibility: Both SpeakEasy Hud tool and written script during the presentation.
