Immersive Quest Design: AI + Pedagogical Scaffolds
Lead Presenter: Letty Luckstone / Leticia De Leon
Venue: Workshop B – The Ruins
The purpose of this workshop is to transform AI-enabled formative assessments into an immersive quest that students can navigate through scaffolded learning. Using interactive stations, this session will demonstrate how AI chatbots, adaptive prompts, and feedback loops can support reflective practice, revision, and metacognitive awareness. The workshop integrates AI literacy, ethics, and transparent design, and uses research-based AI-enabled pedagogical paths to reduce bias, enhance accuracy, and align AI prompts with learning outcomes. Through hands-on building, collaborative testing, and guided reflection, participants leave with a reusable “Quest Blueprint” they can adapt to their own teaching, regardless of the learning environment.
Objectives:
- Participants will be able to design an AI-supported formative quest in Second Life.
- Participants will be able to use AI-enabled scaffolding to verify AI outputs for accuracy and bias.
Accessibility: I will use a SpeakEasy HUD Tool.
