Lead Presenter: Namaara MacMoragh
Venue: SL: Etopia Island: Wetlands Exploration & Animal Safari
Wetlands are home to more than 10% of all known animal species and about 50% of all known fish species, despite covering less than 1% of the Earth’s surface. Approximately 87% of the world’s wetlands have been lost over the past 300 years, with much of the loss occurring after 1900.
This self-paced activity is designed to engage participants in experiential learning of wetlands and their importance to all life on our planet. Lace up your boots. Don your pith hat. Grab your binoculars. Then head over to Etopia to explore, learn, and have fun earning prizes.
Objectives:
- Participants will learn practical strategies for engaging with critical wetlands where they live.
Accessibility: I will use a SpeakEasy HUD tool.
