Presentations CFP Deadline Extended

Is your presentation proposal not quite ready for submission to the call for proposals for VWBPE 2024? You can breathe a little bit – the Presentation Call for Proposals has been extended until Sunday 04 February 2024..

This will be the FINAL extension for presentation proposals. Explore the 6 exciting formats, like the Micro Burst Cluster or Tool Talk. For that burning question to explore, consider a Compass Point Roundtable discussion. A Spotlight Presentation or Hands On Technology Workshop are also great options for presenting your work to the VWBPE community. A Poster format provides another alternative, with lots of room to share your work creatively.

The best things about virtual environments are the innovative ways that communities and educators use these spaces. An Immersive Experience, either before or after the conference, can be an ideal way to demonstrate your latest work. Immersive Experiences proposals are due Sunday 11 February 2024..

Exhibits showcase your organization or work for conference attendees to explore. Exhibit spaces will be nestled into and surrounded by the natural wonders of the Earth. Exhibit proposals are due Sunday 11 February 2024.

Thinkerer Award – More Time to Nominate

In 2014, the Virtual Worlds Best Practices in Education Organizational Committee instituted a new personal achievement award to recognize an individual who has provided outstanding service to both the field of education and the virtual world community at large.

If you know of someone who deserves to be recognized for their contribution to the field of education and immersive environments, we encourage you to nominate them for the 2024 Thinkerer Award. Nominations are currently open until Thursday 15 February 2024.

Final selection of the award recipient will be conducted by the VWBPE Organizational Committee in February and will be announced publicly during the conference closing ceremony on Saturday 16 March 2024.
