In about a week, the VWBPE 2025 Transitions conference will open and presenters will share their latest innovations they’ve created since last year. They’ll discuss the difficulties that they encountered, problems they solved, discoveries they made. Some challenges and exciting possibilities have opened up with the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in education. What were these? The best way to find out is to just come to the conference!

At VWBPE, we aren’t standing still. We developed new categories for presentations: posters and speed builds. These are currently small but we anticipate they will grow quickly; there are so many intriguing directions our educators can take…

Educators are intrepid, unafraid to look forward, and they lead the way into a future filled with new possibilities such as AI – how can we best use this new technology, or that new teaching method, and how best do we leverage their potential for the benefit of learners? The trend in the teacher-student relationship is causing a transition from teacher as giver of knowledge with student as receiver toward teachers as guides to learning alongside their students.

What an amazing time to be in the field of education! And especially so when we incorporate these new approaches into the immersive virtual space. At the conference, you will see workshops, lectures, interactive experiences and hands-on activities. You’ll also have opportunities to network with like-minded colleagues and friends.
