MARCH 19-21, 2026Our First Networking Social in 2026!
When the Thames River freezes, something magical happens—Frost Faire arrives. Historically, it was a rare and wonderful excuse to bundle up, step out onto the ice, and celebrate together. From the 1400s until the removal of the London Bridge in 1831, the Thames froze solid enough to host Frost Faire 24 times. This year, we celebrate that magical 25th winter—not just as a nod to history, but as a reason to gather, socialize, and dance beneath a snowy sky.
That spirit of unusual weather and warm company is alive and well at the VWBPE Social Committee’s Frost Faire Networking Fundraiser.

The winter market buzzes with conversation, the snow falls, and the dance floor stays full as friends old and new as we come together for a great educational cause in Second Life.
Adding to the magic, DJ Exxxquisite returns with an irresistible soundtrack that promises to keep toes tapping and skirts swirling all evening long. Whether you come to network, to support the fundraiser, or simply to dance, come share the joy in the moment with us—proof that community thrives when we make space to celebrate together.
And let’s talk fashion: Frost Faire is the perfect excuse to check your closets for warm attire. Layers of cotton, silk, wool, and linen—especially with a nod to 19th-century style—are encouraged. Whatever you shake out and put on, you’ll fit right in.
Frost Faire reminds us that even the coldest seasons are better when shared. If you miss this one, consider it an invitation to our second event on February 19, 2026.

Second Round Call for Proposals is Open
If you missed the first deadline for the Call for Proposals, take heart! The second round has opened and will close on the 31st of January. This is for Presentations and Immersive Experiences.
You have time! But don’t delay – the second round deadline is final.
The Call for Proposals for Exhibits and Posters remains open through 15 February.
