This year, we’ve added two new proposal categories: Posters and Speed Builds.

You may recall that Posters were a format within the Presentations category. We’ve taken that and elevated it to a full-fledged category. The requirements are similar to the past, with some exciting enhancements that you will see in the full Call for Proposals. Posters are a great opportunity for you and/or students to share ideas asynchronously in a gallery setting (along with Exhibits, which are larger 3D build spaces). In addition to their poster, presenters are encouraged to provide a short video overview of their work to be shown at their poster booth venue. Handouts are encouraged.

Speed Builds add interesting and fun new challenges for sharing how you can leverage the potential of immersive 3D virtual environments to facilitate learning in new and engaging ways. Speed builds will be open to both teams and individuals. Be prepared to be challenged as this new proposal category will not be for the faint of heart. It will test your knowledge of design, pedagogy, time management, problem-solving, artistry, and creativity.

One other thing we’ve also changed is the tracks, which apply to all categories except Speed Build:
