SUMMARY:AI Isn’t a Tool; It’s a Learning Environment!
DESCRIPTION:Lead Presenter: Dave Lyle / David DavisVenue: Lecture B – The OasisAI becomes transformative in education not when it is added, but when it is a fundamental part of the learning environment. This presentation shares practical insights from USF’s work integrating AI directly into classroom learning ecosystems—supporting instruction, creativity, and real-time teacher decision-making.Participants will explore how AI curriculum spaces, creative AI studios, and structured JSON manifest documents function together as an instructional environment rather than isolated tools. Emphasis is placed on scalability, alignment, and sustainability—moving beyond prompts and pilots toward intentional AI-supported learning design. Objectives:Participants will be able to describe classroom strategies for AI-supported teaching and learning.Participants will be able to shift from tool-based AI use to environment-based AI integration.Insights Connection:This presentation addresses the transition from experimental AI use to intentional, sustainable classroom integration. It examines how educators can move beyond prompts and pilots toward designing AI as part of the learning environment itself. By sharing real-world implementation insights from USF, the session highlights how instructional practices, educator roles, and learning ecosystems are evolving in response to AI-driven change.Accessibility: Provide a written script during the presentation
