We offer a glimpse into a unique training for educators, counselors, artists, coaches and facilitators who wish to discover a way of using arts-based processes (builds, paintings or photos) symbolically in SL. We call this Symbolic Modeling (SymMod). This useful tool can be applied to intellectual, psychological, spiritual or creative processes, both with individuals and with groups. We will be showing a short film, as well as describing and demonstrating the SymMod method.
- Participants will be able to witness the SymMod process and its usefulness in various fields.
- Participants will be able to understand the benefits of training in the SymMod method.

Scientific experimentation with prim physics offers rewarding results as play, for rigorous control process, for sole and collaborative problem solving and learning, and for application in functional mechanical systems. The Havok Physics Engine provides a consistent set of functions, constants and parameters, for conducting verifiable scientific research. Teaching the fundamental principles and basic techniques is inspiring and fun for both instructors and students.
- Participants will be immersed in the Physics Laboratory, with demonstrations of local physics.

The Hero Walk is a circle of twelve colours and pictures. Each picture talks in text when touched, describing that step of Campbell’s hero journey and asking the viewer a question. We’ll begin at The Hero Walk on Aloft, and explore each of the colours and pictures. Then we will join Thuja Hynes on Inspiration Island to learn more about the Hall of Heroes that has been created by Hero Walk users.
- Participants will experience the colourful life of a hero and compare it to their lives.
- Participants will learn how Hero Walk is used in SL to teach self-esteem and the value of diversity.
