Quadrivium 1: The digital divide of immersive technology (AR, VR, XR) @ VWBPE Quadrivium

Facilitator: Andrew Wheelock / Spiff Whitfield ; Assistant: Marie Vans / amvans Lapis

The digital divide has been a concern for years. This has generally been understood as the gulf between those who have access to technology like computers and the internet. Boldly Go - Celebrate Success & Cataclysm Stories @ VWBPE Lecture Area B

Speaker: Renne Emiko Brock / Zinnia Zauber. Peninsula College,

Confidence comes from educational attempts that fail with room to reflect and regroup to triumph. The constellations don’t move us. The stories behind the stars do. Teach the mythology and methodology of heroes and creatures to embrace worthy motives and mistakes. Assemble learning systems that build worlds and character, foster spheres of influence, and rejoice in honest reflective writing. Celebrate individual’s stories that highlight self-actualization results for all to become shining stars.

  • Teach transformative fable digital storytelling to turn frustration into creative opportunities.
  • Assemble a virtual myth makerspace to build confidence, celebrate challenges, and learn to shine.

This topic has been addressed by several of our speakers over the last couple of days considering access, privacy, harassment, Terms of Service and software. Join us at the last Quadrivium of the conference as we look for the answers together.

Mindscape @ MindScape
Mar 31 @ 02:00 PM – 03:30 PM
Mindscape @ MindScape

Host: Asmita Duranjaya

“MindScape” is related to brain research and what can refer to the human mind, how to develop, inspire and care for or manipulate it. 15 artists have created either a 2D or a 3D work referring to the topic by adding his or her idea, be it more realistic-physical or more mental or philosophical abstract. The 3D area is a moon landscape, where the 50-prim-installations are presented.

  • Participants will be able to observe the installations and pictures and to interact with them.
  • Participants will be motivated to develop their own idea about what MIND can be and do for them.

Accessibility: Provide a written script during the presentation. Bots provide information on the art installations.
