Soul of A Charioteer in Virtual Orbit Around Mars @ VWBPE Lecture Area A
Mar 28 @ 12:00 PM – 12:50 PM

Speakers: Andrew Stricker / Spinoza Quinnell, Air University; Cynthia Calongne / Lyr Lobo; Barbara Truman / Delightful Doowangle

Like Socrates’ image of the soul as the charioteer, who must hold the reigns of the spirited horses closely so as to control them, so it holds if a person believes they have a role in their fate and can influence important events in their life, and believe their dispositions and intelligence are open to growth, then they are more likely to engage in shaping their own development and future. This presentation describes research in using immersive 3D environments to improve professional efficacy.

  • Share research on use of the immersive 3D environment for professional ethics development.
  • Demonstrate application of interactive 3D forced-choice ethical dilemmas.
